Jason and his girlfriend (now wife) Tiffany got their first Frenchie, a brindle boy named Napoleon, in 2010. As Napoleon outgrew his puppy gear they wanted to donated it to a worthy cause and stumbled upon ABR. Soon after, Jason joined ABR as a home checker. In 2014, Jason and Tiffany added their second Frenchie, a cream girl named Josie, and got married. In 2017, Jason helped ABR incorporate as a not-for-profit society and become a registered charity. Also in 2017, Jason and Tiffany welcomed their son, Sebastian, to their family. Sadly, in 2021 Napoleon crossed the rainbow bridge.

Jason is often described as ABR's "voice of reason" and handles the "business stuff". By day, Jason works in finance in the oil and gas industry, is an avid skier, and amateur chef.
